God's Goodness

Well, this'll be quick as I don't have much time, but wow! Tons has happened since the last blog posting and God has been amazing to us. First of all, Aaron got a great job doing some woodworking for a Christian guy here in Redding. He is super flexible and in the first week of work Aaron already got a raise! Then, like I mentioned before, we were praying about going to the school of ministry here at Bethel. We prayed that God would confirm it through unexpected financial provision. We sent in our applications, got an interview and that SAME DAY got a call from a family friend who said we had been on her heart that morning as she was praying and wanted to know if we needed money. =) So... long story short, over half of our tuition is covered, and we are now in our 3rd week of class!!! It has been great and we are learning lots. We both have been to bible school, have degrees, etc. but believe that there are things here to learn that we haven't learned yet. Most of all, it's amazing being with a group of people that are beleiving God for the transformation of their city and nation... people who are hungry to know God in deeper ways every day and be changed by him. So, that's it for now.

Married & Moved!

Well, today we are celebrating our "one month anniversary". Crazy! These past weeks have been somewhat sureal as we got married, went on a honeymoon and moved to Redding! God is so good and we are enjoying every minute of it. We enjoyed our wedding day so much... It was everything we could have asked for. We were also blessed with some very generous people that helped us go on an amazing honeymoon to Hawaii... what a gift! We snorkelled, hiked, kayaked and even surfed... well, kind of. I (Crystal) took a lesson and Aaron surfed. The waves were not enormous by any stretch of the imagination, but nevertheless, we rode a few of them and it was fun. A few of our honeymoon adventures included: my wedding ring falling off in the ocean (which we found with our snorkel gear), a CRAZY hike (led by Aaron of course)... we got off the beaten trail and blazed our own... hours of climbing straight up grabbing to dirt or roots to pull ourselves up. We ended up at the top of a 150 ft. waterfall- WOW! And, lastly, but not leastly, missing our flight back home... oops. It all worked out in the end- and we got an extra day in Kauai.

So, now we are in Redding figuring out the next step. We'd appreciate your prayers as we look for work and also pray about the possibility of going to the school of ministry here at our church- we're not exactly sure what this year is going to look like but we'll keep you posted!
